of people in psychological distress never ask for help.

Most students who struggle never say a word

Exam pressure, isolation, poor sleep and comparison build up quietly over weeks. Then one day it becomes a crisis, and everyone asks how nobody saw it coming.

School and college counsellors want to help, but one counsellor may look after hundreds or thousands of students. They can only reach the ones who walk through the door.

SafeSpace helps them see who needs support before it becomes a crisis.

Who it's for

School students, Classes 9–12

Board exams, peer pressure, identity, family expectations.

College students

Right after you log, SafeSpace suggests a small evidence-based technique for how you're feeling: a cyclic sigh for anxiety, a quick brain-dump when you're overwhelmed, or a gratitude note on a good day.

One bad day doesn't define you. Patterns tell the real story.

Most apps take a single snapshot. SafeSpace follows your journey over weeks and months. It connects your mood, sleep, stress and habits so you and your counsellor can see what's really changing, like "My anxiety rises every Sunday night" or "I feel better on days I sleep 7 hours."

It's 11pm, you can't sleep, and there's no one to talk to. Haven is here.

Haven, your always-there companion

Haven is SafeSpace's AI companion. It's available any time, listens without judging, and understands English, Hindi and Hinglish. It helps you sort through what you're feeling, suggests simple coping techniques, and gently encourages you to talk to a real person when that would help.

Haven never diagnoses and never replaces a counsellor. It's a bridge to human care.

Talk to a qualified counsellor, your way

SafeSpace has a dedicated team of qualified counsellors on the app. Every student gets 4 one-hour video sessions a year through their institution's package, and can book more: free at government institutions, at a low price at private ones.

  • One-hour video sessions from wherever you are, in Hindi, English or Hinglish.
  • Message your counsellor and say how soon you'd like to hear back: today please, within a day, or when you can.

Safety: the AURA protocol

When something seems seriously wrong, SafeSpace doesn't leave it to an algorithm.

  1. Aware. Spots worrying patterns or messages.
  2. Understand. Works out how serious it is.
  3. Respond. Alerts the right person straight away.
  4. Act. Makes sure a real counsellor follows up, with every step recorded.
SOS button and crisis helplines, including Tele-MANAS (14416), are one tap away on every screen.

SafeSpace Report gives students a confidential way to report bullying or harassment.

Your privacy comes first

  • Your entries are private and seen only by your counsellor.
  • Your institution sees overall wellbeing trends, never your personal journal or chats.
  • Built to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
  • Students under 18 join with a parent's consent and their own agreement.

The one exception: if your safety is at serious risk, a counsellor will reach out. We tell you this from day one.

What parents should know

  • You give consent first. Students under 18 can only join after a parent or guardian agrees, and your child agrees too.
  • Your child's words stay private. Like a school counsellor's notes, mood logs, journal and chats are not shared with you or the school.
  • You'll be told if it matters most. If a counsellor believes your child's safety is at serious risk, the school's safeguarding process is followed and you are contacted.
  • Real professionals, no extra cost. Your child's 4 one-hour video sessions a year are included in the institution's package.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about SafeSpace, privacy, counselling and pricing.

What is SafeSpace Personal Wellness?

SafeSpace Personal Wellness is a student mental wellbeing app from Havenmind Technologies Private Limited, Jaipur. It combines a daily mood and wellbeing check-in, an AI companion called Haven, self-help tools and video sessions with qualified counsellors, offered through schools, colleges and coaching centres.

Who is SafeSpace for?

Students in Classes 9 to 12, college students and coaching aspirants, along with the school and college counsellors who support them. The app is available on Android and iOS in English, Hindi and Hinglish.

How does the daily check-in work?

Students log their mood from 14 emotions, answer a one-tap wellbeing check on stress, anxiety, fatigue, social connectedness and nutrition, and log sleep and screen time. It takes under a minute, and SafeSpace then suggests a small evidence-based technique.

Who can see a student's journal and chats?

Entries are private and seen only by the student's counsellor. The institution sees overall wellbeing trends, never personal journals or chats. The one exception is serious risk to a student's safety, when a counsellor will reach out. Students under 18 join with a parent's consent and their own agreement.

How many counselling sessions are included, and what do extra sessions cost?

Every student gets 4 one-hour video sessions a year through their institution's package. Extra sessions are free at government institutions and low-priced at private ones.

Is Haven, the AI companion, a replacement for a counsellor?

No. Haven listens, suggests simple coping techniques and gently encourages students to talk to a real person. It never diagnoses and never replaces a counsellor.

What happens if a student may be in crisis?

SafeSpace follows the AURA protocol: Aware, Understand, Respond, Act. A real counsellor follows up and every step is recorded. An SOS button and crisis helplines, including Tele-MANAS (14416), are one tap away on every screen.

Is SafeSpace free for students?

At government schools and colleges it is completely free for students, including extra sessions. At private institutions everything in the app is included through the institution's package, and extra counselling sessions are low-priced. Institutions pay an annual per-student subscription, so contact us for pricing.

How does SafeSpace help schools and colleges?

The counsellor dashboard shows daily engagement, priority alerts, a check-in inbox sorted by urgency, wellbeing trends by class, batch or department, and a timestamped Proof of Care record. Annual reports are built to support compliance with the Supreme Court's 2025 student mental health guidelines.
